AL-Jamal - Unscented Nablus Soap 120G

Nablus soap is made from virgin olive oil, soda, and water, resulting in a bar purely of saponified olive oil.

Over the course of about eight days, Nablus soap is boiled and stirred on high heat before being poured on a wax-paper-covered floor,

marked into a grid of squares with pomegranate ink, hammered by mallet with the company's logo, hand-cut,

and stacked into skirt-shaped towers where it is left to dry for four to six months before being wrapped in wax paper and sold.

Real, Simple, Soap

From the world's oldest soap-making tradition, Nablus soap is a super-dense, long-lasting, unfragranced,

moisturizing, biodegradable, all-vegan, and famously multi-use soap.

It makes a silky lather that doesn't cause irritation and washes away without leaving a film,

and it is a dependable and often-prescribed medicine for skin ailments.

Nablus soap is made with virgin olive oil, producing a bright white bar.

The Camel / al-Jamal, made in the Shaka'a family-owned workshop in Nablus,

is the most iconic imprint of Nablus soap --- often people refer to 'al-Jamal soap' to mean Nablus soap in the same way that

people talk of Jacuzzi for hot tubs or Xerox for copy machines.

Its main market is in southern Palestine around Hebron.

The imprint took its mascot from the camel trains used to carry in qilw soda ash and olive oil to Nablus from neighboring countrysides.
